A dinosaur who comes from the tropical paradise of Yoshi's Island. There are several members of this species and they come in many colors. Yoshi can slurp up enemies with his long tongue and turn them into eggs, which he tosses back at them. Yoshi's friendship with Mario dates way back to when he was a baby; the Yoshi's reunited him with Luigi. Since then, Yoshi and his brethren have almost always carried the bros on their backs and allowed them to ride. Yoshi also participates in friendly sporting events and parties.
