A member of Team JNPR at Beacon Academy. Calm and mellow in almost every situation, Ren holds the greatest amount of patience toward his childhood friend, Nora, whose cheerful personality greatly contrasts with his. Studious and well-informed, Ren remains focused on the task at hand, in battle and in life. However, he's not above the simpler things, such as cooking, friendly arguments and a sense of humor. Using his Pistol/Sickle Daggers, StormFlower, Ren supports his team and follows Jaune's leadership without question. He can also use his Semblance to mask the negative emotions of himself and others to hide from the Grimm. After the Fall of Beacon, the remaining members of Team JNPR journey with Team RWBY to put a stop to the plans of the immortal witch Salem. Along the way, Ren and Nora's relationship reaches a rather complicated patch.
