As you can no-doubt tell by the recent uploads, my Naruto conclusion enthusiasm continues, and as you can also no-doubt tell from the descriptions of most of the pictures, I've read Chapter 1 of the new Epilogue Spin-off series, and so far, I gotta say, I'm not impressed...with only one aspect, that is. Everything else is completely fine.
The plot: The Academy Students' graduation exams start in a week, so all the kids go to train with their parents to prepare for the occasion. Meanwhile, young Sarada Uchiha expesses concerns regarding her father, whom she has never met, and her concern grows into doubt when she makes a horrifying discovery...
Let's start with the pros. For starters, the new characters are very enjoyable. The kids take after their parents in the ways you'd expect, and their interactions with their respective fathers has a different perk each time. Boruto especially came through, as he proved to many fans that he is likeable after the new film's teaser featured him calling Naruto "Shitty Old Man." While he is bratty, he mainly pulls pranks as a means of getting his father's attention or instigating training sessions. He's also proven to be a bit of a prodigy, adept in fighting techniques and having already mastered Shadow Clone Justsu. Let's hope he has some more tricks up his sleeve, preferably from his Hyuga side. As for Sarada, she's also very likeable. Not at all high-and-mighty or easily-angered, polite to her peers and superiors, and understandably forlorn and dismayed due to her lack of paternal connection, without letting it alienate her from her friends. Nothing like either of her parents.
...Which brings me to the one Con of this chapter...Sasuke, almost a decade after the war ended (in the story's timeline), has not exactly improved on his track record. He was never around for the entirety of his own daughter's life, might have had a hit-it-and-quit-it affair with Karin before dropping the child off on Sakura, and could very well turn poor Sarada into another cursed Uchiha if all spirals down the way it seems to be. I never really cared for Sakura, but I hope she's Sarada's birth mother. Both of them deserve SO much better than this. Seriously, Sasuke, get your fucking shit together, already!
Also, Sakura has a fit of rage when Sarada confronts her on the issue that accidentally destroys their house, and it is quite funny. Better control that temper, Sakura.
So far, we're off to a good start with some brain-scratching drama to serve as our cliffhanger. I'm really looking forward to seeing how all this plays out, and what kinds of things we can expect from this new generation. I'm really hoping we get to see Boruto interact with his mother and little sister in this story, and I also hope this Mini series runs all the way through August, so it systematically builds up to the new movie. Fingers crossed on the possibilities.

Disney Saturday 2024 Breakdown
All right, y'all. A week from tomorrow, I begin the long and arduous process of drawing characters from every mainline Disney animated movie from Snow White to Wish every Saturday throughout 2024. Here's a brief rundown of how my schedule is going to work. I will draw one or two characters per film that are major protagonists, focuses or best remembered, some of whom will be packaged with sidekicks. I'm thinking two or three characters per day, sometimes four, if only because there are a LOT of very small characters in Disney's library. The current planned schedule is as such: January thru Mid-June: Major Characters from All Mainline Films Mid-June thru September: Bonus Characters from Films and Shorts October: Villains (Because I gotta do that for Halloween!) November & December: Popular Demand Characters What that last part means is, anyone you want to see me draw or feel I forgot that I think are within my power to draw in the months that remain. Here are some caveats /
2023 Year-In Review
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, y'all! Another year has come and gone, and with it, a whole heaping helping of things to say about it. As usual, I've got the bad, I've got the good, and I've got what I personally took away from it, so let's go ahead and get things started, shall we? THE BAD ----------- I think if the year 2023 can be summed up in one word, it would be "Mistreatment." Both in the real world and in the entertainment industry (more on that in a bit). Sure, the weather's been very cattywampus the world over, what with the earthquakes and floods and all, but aside from Russia's invasion of Ukraine still going on, more invasions and drone strikes going on round the world, and the possibility of Donald Trump running for President again, despite his official indictment (shudders), we've got the Hamas attack on Israel that's been pervading a lot of the summer and fall. I've sadly had very little to say on that issue, given my selective focus on media coverage, but I will
Future Fanart Fades Away
Okay, between yesterday and this morning, I'm looking at a few Fanart PNG roughs I started on, and suddenly...I'm not really interested in doing them. I think I'm so engrossed in my webcomic right now that I'd much rather be working on that than simple standard issue drawings. With no Twitter to promote stuff, I'm seeing very little reason to just do casual character drawings, and I'm feeling like the larger scale projects are taking more precedence in my mind at present. So, as much as it pains me to do so, I'm probably gonna have to cancel the Free Draw Characters I had planned on doing for the foreseeable future. From here until I decide otherwise or need a break of some kind, I'm gonna stick to Special Prints, Cartoons, Voice Tributes and Striker as my main Drawing Focus. Apologies to those who were looking forward to the next Kingdom Hearts characters or the rest of this month's Spooky BCA Characters, but TLDR, I'd much rather be working on my personal brainchildren at this
While not on Twitter...
Pros and Cons of not currently being on Twitter; (I refuse to call it X) I don't have to deal with toxic putzes or random pornographic art or videos (yes, really) on a constant basis, and I get to work on my art more in private. I have very little to do with my free time, since that's where I've gotten the bulk of my news, and I can't share my art or things I want to say on a wider scale with people to bounce off of. Sure, I can count on family/friends to clap back, but I kinda miss the wider populace's feedback. I suppose I could keep one of my accounts active as a glorified newspaper to read, I just can't say anything about them. I like being able to promote my work, and DeviantART is rather limited in that regard. I suppose this is just something I'll have to get used to until my account is randomly restored. Because if Mark Haynes and Jim Cummings can come back after being suspended, I have a good feeling about myself and the other folks good or bad who've been shadowbanned. Just kind of a waiting game right now.

According to the details and interviews from the Naruto Showcase running in Japan, Sarada really is Sakura's crotch-spawn, and the glasses were to prove that girls can be cute with them (which I have no idea why that needs to be proven, when it's already true. Seriously, how do you think saying otherwise make people who have to wear them feel, Assholes?).
This does make me wonder how they'll incorporate this into the plot, though. Guess we'll find out next week, since they're taking a break for Golden Week.
