The older half-sister of Ruby, and a proud member of Team RWBY. Yang plays the role of "Big Sister" to all members of her team, and is very optimistic, never giving up when times are tough. On the flip-side, she has a fiery temper, and her violet eyes turn bright red when her allies are threatened or her hair is damaged. Yang wields the twin Shotgun Gauntlets, Ember Celica, and channels the damage she takes into strength with her Semblance. Ever since she learned Raven Branwen was her birth mother, Yang searched far and wide for her, wanting to find the answers to her mysterious disappearance shortly after she was born. Having lost her right arm during the Fall of Beacon, Yang rested at home with a broken spirit, but with renewed fighting drive and a robotic prosthetic from Atlas, she heads out to Mistral to finish what she started, soon becoming involved in a war with the immortal witch Salem.
