A Hedgehog created to be the Ultimate Life Form. He bears a resemblance to Sonic and has equal abilities. He also holds the power of Chaos Control, or manipulate time and space. He prefers to work alone, but for a while, he was unsure whether to choose a life of good or evil. In the end, he chose his own independence and now works as a Government agent.

Quote: "I'm Shadow the Hedgehog... no one can tell me what to do!"

Shadow appears as an Assist Trophy in the Super Smash Bros. series, where he uses Chaos Control to slow down all characters except the summoner for a short time.
