Ice Climber by Nintendo (NES 1985)

The one in blue is Popo, and the one in pink is Nana. These two, the Ice Climbers, climbed to the top of an icy glacier to salvage vegetables from an angry condor. These two have braved the cold together (if the player goes Co-op) through many trials, like polar bears and icicles, and are rarely seen apart. In the Smash Bros. series, their attacks are boosted if the two are together.
